Our Pre-school was founded in 1969 and we a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance.  We are a registered charity and inspected by Ofsted.  We are fortunate to have a purpose built unit and the use of a large hall together with a fenced outdoor play area.

We have 7 qualified members of staff (whose details are on the Staff page) together with 2 on-call staff, to cover when required.  In addition we run a parent-helper rota.

We run sessions for rising 4's, Mondays to Fridays, 9.10am til 11.40am.  Children are eligable to attend these sessions from the start of the term after their third birthday. The cost of these sessions is £8.20. All children of this age can claim up to five free pre-school sessions per week under the Nursery Education Grant scheme. Please speak to the supervisor for more information about this.

In addition we run a Lunch Club for children attending the morning sessions. These are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for one hour, at a cost of £2.50 per session.

For the rising 3's we run sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 1.15pm til 2.45pm. Children are eligable to attend these sessions from the start of the half-term after their second birthday. The cost of these sessions is £5

During the morning sessions we have a parent - helper who provides snack for the children.  We have found that with parents providing the snack the children enjoy a varied selection - examples of snack are fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, raisins, yogurts and cheese. The afternoon children are also provided with a snack although we do not have a parent helper during these sessions. The children are all given a choice of milk or water to drink.
